whitman poem

i liked the part where he talks about how much we get from our parents. this is so true. i always wonder how much i am like either of my parents, how much of either of them is me. and i always end up thinking that sometimes it can go either way. it can either be a good thing or a bad thing. like i feel its a good thing that i got my creativity from my mom but i feel sometimes its not so good that i got my stubbornness from my dad. but either way my brother and sisters and i are all like continuations of out parents and we all have different parts of them that we carry on in life.

having my say

I am going to have my say on best friends. I love mine; they get the hairs off my hoodies, often. Oh yea and they take up a lot of room in my yearbook (Alexandra :) ) but honestly i feel like i have the best friends in the world they are always there for me and they are always caring and loving and amazing. I feel like this year I’ve really grown to appreciate them and all they have done. We have so many good times like telepathy in the halls and not going to see scary movies and sea bass and soooo many more, I’ve really been blessed.

Stephen Crane

i love his poem "in heaven" because i pictured all the blades of grass as little kids and like its a whole big group of them and theyre all standing there and God starts to question the smallest one and hes all shy and doesnt want to say anything but he finally speaks and God is happy he did.

blog evaluation

unfortunatly i could never get myself to whole heartedly get inot the blogs. i started the year thinking that i would keep up with them and that i was going to love it, but that energy and ideal faded. i began to write just the bare minimum and, as you can see, stopped writing them all together. they just never came up very high on my priority list and never inspired me enough to put my heart into writing. i wouldn't suggest it for another class but that is because im not a big blogger, opinions of those who kept up more are probably more valid.

the top three books we read were:
1.) having our say
2.) the great gatsby
3.) young goodman brown
