political climate of the 1950s

in the 1950s politics seemed like nothing more than children running around saying "I'm in charge". with all the McCarthy hearings, media people were having their lives ruined simply because he had said they were a "National threat". when you look at the end of the hearings you can see how insanly incredible these accusations had become. they were beginning to be based on nothing more than suspicion and 'well i heard from him that he haerd from her that she told him her that she was told by the brother of him...' they were grasping at straws just to find these people guilty. ll just because McCarthy said so.

Crucible reflection

act one of the crucible was something verry similar to a highschool cafeteria. scandals of love and lust are coming to a head, accusations are being tossed left and right like a frisbee, and mass hysteria overcomes the entire end scene. but just like you can see the imence amount if drama that will result from a "he said she said" argument, you can almost see the hysteria building and predict that in the end.. somethings going to happen.
